For your information, there will be an upcoming event, featuring the Lyrid Meteor Shower. Here are the details of the event.
Date: 18th April 2009 - 19th April 2009 Time: 1700 (18/04) - 0800 (19/04) Venue: Sentosa
As it will be an overnight event, please obtain the indemnity forms from the folders outside the club room's door at P701. Please do submit the forms by 15th April 2009. And also, this event will not be paid for by the school, and no transport will be provided. Participants are to pay for the cost of this event, estimated to be $13 for entrance fee and dinner.
Please do not bring more than $50 of cash. We will not be responsible for the loss of items, so bring valuables at your own risk.

The Nanyang Polytechnic Astronomy Club (NASTRO) is an astronomy interest group that promotes interest among students on astronomy by organising activities and events that are related to astronomy. Our activities keep our members and students informed about the latest happenings and discoveries on astronomy around the world.
Astronomy is gradually becoming a popular field of study in Singapore. The National University of Singapore has started a course on Astronomical Studies and building an observatory for their own which amounts to tens of millions of dollars. Even students of Primary and Secondary schools are involved actively in the many Astronomical Events held in Singapore each year.
