Orientation Camp 2007

Hi Everyone, its been a while since the orientatation camp..

NASTRO Orientation Camp 2007

NYP Astronomy Club will be having its Orientation Camp for all new members in the upcoming week. Come join us for a series of fun games, Get to know new friends and most importantly learn more about Astronomy! Your adventure to the Universe starts today with us!

Details of Camp

When? 18 & 19 May ( 2D1N)
Where? LTN 3 @ 6.30pm ( Near South canteen)
Attire? Casual Wear

Things to bring?

2 set of clothings ( Casual)
Tolietries ( Towel, shampoo, toothbrush etc.)
Lanyard With Admin Card *Compulsory!!*
Footwear ( Sports shoe for games, Slipper for Night)

Optional things to bring:
Medication ( Panadol etc.)
Insect repellent
Jacket
Laptop

The Nanyang Polytechnic Astronomy Club (NASTRO) is an astronomy interest group that promotes interest among students on astronomy by organising activities and events that are related to astronomy. Our activities keep our members and students informed about the latest happenings and discoveries on astronomy around the world.
Astronomy is gradually becoming a popular field of study in Singapore. The National University of Singapore has started a course on Astronomical Studies and building an observatory for their own which amounts to tens of millions of dollars. Even students of Primary and Secondary schools are involved actively in the many Astronomical Events held in Singapore each year.
